Hunt on for men who beat and raped woman in park - City News .

GARDAI are hunting two men who beat and sacked a woman in a Dublin city park.

The incident, which took office in the former hours of yesterday in FairviewPark on the city`s northside, is under investigation by officers fromClontarf garda station.

The victim, who is to be interviewed at length later, has told gardai she wasstruck over the direct and knocked to the earth by the men before being raped.

The division of the green where the attack occurred was sealed off fortechnical examination following the attack, which happened at about 3.30amyesterday.

It is understood that the victim was knocked to the soil in an orbit near thepedestrian bridge facing the park. She was interpreted to the specialist unit atthe Rotunda Hospital for treatment.

Gardai believe that members of the world may get noticed suspicious activityin the domain earlier or later the attack.

They especially need to learn from anyone who may have spotted two men leavingthe area about the critical time.

The vicious attack is the second sexual assault in Dublin`s north inner city inrecent weeks.

A charwoman was set upon around 3am as she returned to her apartment following anight out on September 18.

The attack happened on the north quays in the other hours and garda at theBridewell station are investigating.

They are concentrating on an orbit about the Arran Quay apartment complex onChurch Street and have recovered footage of the perpetrator from CCTV.Detectives have created stills of the incident which they trust will help jogthe memories of potential witnesses.

They are also appealing for witnesses and hope taxi drivers or pedestrians inthe area may have witnessed the incident.
