Christmas Miracles are my favorite. I am truly amazed this morn that to keep His own birthday, the Father gives us gifts. Amazing ones. I think last year that we were desperate. We had no money, and we were looking at a very rough Christmas, and so someone anonymously gave us some money, which covered our entire Christmas. Then we were given money to assist with our medical bills, we got SNOW, and then didn't die on our way to Rockstar's mom's house for Christmas during that snow storm!

Simply because on page six I use descriptors such as "dark" and "jet" to impersonate one of the characters in my story. Apparently it's a no-no to use words other than "african american" to identify that race. This bothers me. The whole spirit of my tale is true up "street".

I think Stewart O'Nan must reinvent himself more than any other modern US author. Many, if not most, writers give a case and they get pretty closely within a certain range. Philip Roth likes to write near the lives of Jewish upper middle class men. Jodi Picoult picks an "emergence" and so uses multiple narrators to write about it. William Faulkner liked to chronicle lives in his fictional Yoknapatawpha County.
