The Hip Hop Urban Culture

Hip hop music is portion of hip hop culture predominately among African Americans and Latinos (the former two elements are graffiti art and breakdancing). The reasons for the upgrade in hip hop music are base in the changing urban civilisation in the United States in the 1970′s. Beginning in the 1980′s, hip hop cultivation began its spread across the world.

British royal couple head to Hollywood (AFP)

LOS ANGELES (AFP) - Prince William and his new bride Catherine were due in Los Angeles on Friday for a weekend of Hollywood glamor and Californian sun, after a nine-day tour of Canada.

Lacrosse Debuts in Inner-City Washington School

The new translation of the Native American game lacrosse is a popular sport at many predominately white and affluent, suburban private schools in the United States. But it too has taken root at a predominantly African American, public high school in Washington, plagued by poverty, violence and low academic achievement. Girls are now playing lacrosse at Ballou High School, where educators and students there hope to profit from it.
